Our Civil Rights: A Common Table
Facilitated by Ina Dixon, a PhD student at UNC-Chapel Hill, our conversation in the summer of 2018 will focus on the history of food and race in the South and in our local community. Our Civil Rights: Our Common Table is a program of Virginia Humanities and takes place on the second-to-last Tuesdays of the month from 5:30pm-7:30pm in the Danville Public Library Auditorium.
On May 22 we will be having a Community Potluck! This first session kicks off the series with refreshments and will lay the broad historical scope and ideas that we will cover over the summer. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish.
