Created Equal: A Local & National Story

Facilitated by Dr. Andrew Canady of the history faculty at Averett, Created Equal: A Local & National Story is a film and discussion series that explore the history of race in the South and in our local community. Free and open to the community, Created Equal: A Local & National Story is a collaboration of the Pittsylvania County Public Library, Pittsylvania Together, Chatham First, Rosebud Baptist Church and History United, a program of Virginia Humanities.

This month on August 28 at the History Research Center & Library in Chatham, join us as we watch clips from the “Freedom Riders” and engage in meaningful conversation. Please bring a dish if you wish! Networking! Delicious treats!
